Candidates of Certified Banker (Stage ll) need to fulfill ONE of the following entry requirements:
*Mature applicants (aged 21 or above) who do not possess the above academic qualifications but with relevant banking experience and recommendation from their employers will be considered on individual merit.

With the fast-growing demand of talents with different skill sets, our flagship programme - Certified Banker is offering a Fast Pass incentive scheme tailormade for current practitioners who aspire to become future leaders in the banking industry. Learners who have completed all FOUR “Future Banking Driven Modules” below and passed the examinations will be awarded CB (Stage II) Professional Qualification (including Professional Diploma for Certified Banker and certificates for each of the four modules) within EIGHT months.

The Fast Pass is designed for practitioners* with a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant banking experience, with the aim to pursue a professional qualification through the new study path with GREAT concepts: Green Finance, Risk (climaterelated), Ethics, AI and Technology, being incorporated in 4 different modules.
*Certified Banker (Stage I) holders can enjoy additional module exemption.

In response to the enthusiastic demand from various sectors of the community, the newly developed Certified Banker (Stage II) module “Green Finance and Sustainability”, which is listed in the "Green and Sustainable Finance Training Repository" provided by the regulator, is also made available to all current and future banking practitioners so that anyone who are interested in understanding more on green finance can enrol. After completing the module training and passing the examination, learners can obtain an individual certificate: “Specialist Certificate in Green Finance and Sustainability”. Learners can also claim for module exemption should they continue to pursue CB (Stage II) if applicable.
Highlights
Green Finance and Sustainability aims to develop candidates’ comprehensive knowledge, skills and understanding relating to green finance and sustainability and the relationship between green and sustainable finance and ESG. With the study of internationally-recognised as well as local banking principles and practice in the full spectrum of green finance and sustainability, together with guidelines from local regulator and case studies, learners will be able to understand how to help bank deliver its strategy, perform well at work, serve customers, communities and the wider environment to manage climate-related risk, and support the transition to a low-carbon and sustainable world with the provision of green and sustainable finance.
• To provide an overview of Green Finance and ESG
• Assess the latest development, governance factors, good practices and market trends in Green Finance and Sustainability to meet the transformation and changing needs in the banks and financial institutions;
• Evaluate different factors relevant to ESG investing, the application of ESG valuation, and the ESG consideration in the investment process;
• Apply the major green finance certifications and ESG ratings being used in the market to different development and operational processes.
Entry Requirements
Candidates need to fulfill ONE of the following entry requirements:
• Associate degree (AD) / Higher diploma (HD) students in any disciplines; OR
• Equivalent qualifications or above; OR
• Mature applicants* with 3 years of relevant banking experience with recommendations from employer.
*Mature applicants (aged 21 or above) who do not possess the above academic qualifications but with relevant banking experience and recommendation from their employers will be considered on individual merit.

Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme
“This programme is one of the Eligible Programmes under the Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme, (https://greentalent.org.hk/).”
“The Scheme provides training subsidies to Hong Kong residents who are market practitioners and prospective practitioners of green and sustainable finance, namely students and graduates in relevant disciplines. After completing Eligible Programmes, applicants can apply for a subsidy of up to 80% of the relevant fees (full-time student applicants can apply for a subsidy of up to 100% of the relevant fees), subject to a ceiling
of $10,000.
The reimbursement application should be submitted via the application portal of the Scheme (https://www.greentalent.org.hk/auth/login) within 3 months from the date of completion of the Eligible Programme.”

5 | Fee Discount | HKIB student members can enjoy 25% off training fee discount and 50% off examination fee discount respectively. |
6 | Training Materials | A digital version of HKIB-owned training materials would be provided before commencement of the course. Printed version would only be available at an additional cost of HKD600 (including delivery fee) on request by learners. As for essential readings that were not owned by HKIB, learners would have to purchase them at their own costs. |
